  25. The cause of your problem is very simple. By setting S32=16 you have disabled 
  26. V.8 . V.8 is required for V.34 operation, when it is disabled the next 
  27. available protocol is V.FC. If your ISP doesn't support V.FC (many don't)  
  28. then the next available protocol is V32bis (14.4k). Set S32=18 and you'll 
  29. disable V.34+ and reenable V.8. You should have no problems connecting at 
  30. V.34. If you still do you might want to set S15=128 to disable V.42 and force 
  31. MNP. Some Motorola rack systems have problems with V.42 and USR.
